Fleming College operates 3 campuses
Sutherland Campus (Main Campus)
Located in Peterborough, about 90 minutes from Toronto. It hosts a wide range of programs in business, health, IT, and community services. Notably, it features an 87,000-square-foot Trades and Technology Centre that simulates real-world working environments. Facilities such as the Spark Clinic and the Student Wellness Centre offer students additional hands-on and wellness opportunities.

The Frost Campus
Located in Lindsay, specializes in environmental and natural resources programs. Despite being smaller in building size, the outdoor learning spaces are extensive and critical to programs like Environmental Land Management and Blasting Techniques. The campus is a center for government-funded research and features unique labs and facilities, including a fish hatchery and simulation labs.
The Haliburton Campus
offers arts and design programs in a scenic cottage-town setting. The programs here are both short-term and comprehensive, suited for students looking for immersive creative studies in a peaceful environment.
Fleming College emphasizes three main advantages for International Students
Infrastructure, integration, and affordability. Spacious labs and facilities allow for individualized, hands-on learning. Students study alongside Canadian peers, offering them a deeper cultural experience and social integration. Living costs in Peterborough and Lindsay are significantly lower—30 to 40% cheaper—than in Greater Toronto Area (GTA), with free local transportation and affordable housing options.
The college offers a range of in-demand programs. In health care, Practical Nursing stands out with a 98% graduation rate and substantial clinical placement hours. Pharmacy Technician and Healthcare Management are also popular choices. In community services, Early Childhood Education and Education Support are well-regarded, with the latter offering strong job prospects due to partnerships with local school boards. Business and IT programs include Computer Programming, Cyber Security (a top-rated job placement program), Artificial Intelligence, and Digital Marketing.

Trades and Technology programs are hosted in state-of-the-art facilities, with options such as Welding, Carpentry, and Plumbing, some of which have no math prerequisites. Environmental and natural sciences programs at the Frost Campus include Blasting Techniques—one of the few programs of its kind in North America—offering high job placement rates and strong salary potential post-graduation.
Academic pathways to university degrees are available. For example, students in the Practical Nursing diploma program can complete their third and fourth years at Trent University to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Similar agreements exist across many programs and institutions, allowing international students to extend their studies toward bachelor’s degrees.

Fleming provides extensive support services to international students. Arrival services include subsidized airport pick-up and temporary accommodation. On-campus housing is available at about CAD $8,000 per year, while off-campus and student-specific residences cost around CAD $600–700 per month. Immigration support is available through in-house RCIC advisors and counseling sessions for permits, PR pathways, and PGWP applications. Career services host regular job fairs and employer meetups to connect students with potential jobs even before graduation.
Scholarships are offered regionally. Students from Latin America and the Caribbean can receive up to CAD $4,000, those from the Philippines, Africa and East Asia may qualify for CAD $2,000, and South Asian students can access CAD $1,250 (subject to availability). These scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis and are limited by region.
In conclusion, Fleming College presents a compelling choice for international students through its commitment to quality education, affordability, and meaningful career preparation. Its diverse campuses, specialized programs, and robust student support systems position it as a standout institution for students looking to gain a true Canadian educational experience.
